The Heist.

The bright light of the morning sun threatened for too beautiful of a day. With a long drawn out sigh Catt rolled in the blankets and covered her head. Rogues live in the shadows, creep into the mist, and harbor your nightmares. But today would not be one of those days. Lifting her cocoon of cotton she emerged from her gilded bed and set out onto Stormwind City.

Trade district was filled to the brim as usual, while she prowled the alleyways lifting a purse just for fun, a sign caught her attention.

-WANTED: Rogue Services- One lock picked. The last thing stated was an absurd amount of gold for the task and the contact information. Curiosity perked her interest and she penned a quick note to this O.S. Within the day she had her response.

“Meet at the Hero’s Welcome in Dalaran.” A time listed and instructions laid she was on her way.

She came stealth into the Hero’s Welcome always one to scope out her employers before a job was set. It was bustling, glasses clinking and celebrations being had except for one. Her eyes darted to the darkened corner away from the Inns kitchen, hardly any light with the exception of blazing blue scourged eyes. ‘A Death Knight?’ her approach was halted.

He sat, back to a wall so he could observe the room. Surely he would know he could never see her in stealth. He fidgeted slightly and took a long drink to calm his nerves. It started to dawn on Catt that this ‘one lock’ wouldn’t be easy to pick. She sat across from him and removed herself from stealth.

He flinched not expecting for her to be so close so soon.

“O.S. is it?” She questioned.

“Omega is fine.” A smile curved the corner of his mouth.

“So why am I here?”

“I have a job for a certain kind of Rogue. The kind that has a good survivability and isn’t afraid of a little chill in the air.” His frame relaxed and he leaned back waiting for my reaction, the Icebound Fortitude swirling around him. ‘Was this a challenge?’ Catt thought.

“I have not time for theatrics, tell me the job and I will get it done.”

He laughed then; patrons took notice and glanced away quickly. “That’s the spirit!” Ironic something he knew nothing of. “Shall we then?” He motioned for the door flipping a gold down for the bar maid.

She followed him out of Hero’s Welcome, flew to the next location and stopped mid flight. ‘This cannot be.’ Her gaze fell over the gate that separated Icecrown from Crystalsong and looked towards Omega. He motioned for her to land just outside an unoccupied hall.

“You have to be kidding me?” She cursed in a whisper, checking her surrounding for any movement.

“Don’t worry little Rogue, I have a sixth sense remember to the Lich Kings whereabouts.” He tapped his helm at his temple, the scourge, a horrible thing to happen to any living thing.

“Yes, you may have that, but his minions are just as deadly.”

She moved cautiously down the hall to the titan steal gate. One large keyhole was visible, too large; one could fit their whole hands in rather than just a few picks. Omega casually leaned to the wall watching, his armor clinking slightly against it. Catt’s eyes shot a warning to him and he just smiled watching her fingers move over the lock. ‘This is insane.’ Just then the sound of footsteps caught her attention; she backed into the shadows allowing whatever it was to pass. Then a Death Grip came from nowhere and lifted her to the other side of the hall. A protesting scream filled her lungs but was muffled by a strangulating plate glove covering her mouth; Omega held her back to him, wearing that same half cocked grin. She held still, every nerve aching to flee.

The steps vanished down the hall, Omega relaxed and released Catt. She shifted away from him, a chill down her spine from frost presence.

“Do not ever!” she hissed. “Ever do that again!”

He just smiled. “You may want to keep it down little Rogue or next time I won’t grip you out of harm’s way.”

Catt scowled as she returned to the lock, a click sounded, then another and they were in. She turned to Omega a palm laid out for payment, the deed was done and she wanted to get away from this place. He looked at her, then gripped his hand on hers dragging her in further to the Lich King quarters.

“My job is done here, let me go.”

“Did you not read the fine print?” He laughed, “Now, go get all the expensive stuff, I’ll grab his T.V.”

To Omegasupreme: I’ll rob the Lich Kings place with you any day.
